The Office is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the university in accordance with governmental regulations and University policy and procedures. The Office for Financial Affairs oversees the areas of Financial Planning/Budgeting, Risk Management, Purchasing and Accounts Payable, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, Student Finance, Treasury Operations. Additionally, the office works with the Board of Trustees to ensure the proper stewardship and administration of the University’s endowment funds.

The Office of Financial Affairs is responsible for financing across the entire financial operation of MNUE, from advancing teaching and academic research, to fundraising and the allocation of the MNUE. The Office is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the university's operating budget. These responsibilities include financial planning and forecasting, budget consolidation and monitoring, and the management of the budget reporting systems.
